Leeward Islands Air Transport, commonly known as LIAT, has announced that it will be increasing its flights to and from Dominica to meet heightened demand for travel services by individuals hoping to reach the island during the festive season.
A new daily flight will be departing from the island of Antigua starting on 23 December. It will leave Antigua at 5 PM, and land in Dominica 40 minutes later. The return flight will depart Dominica’s Douglas-Charles Airport at 6:05 PM, and it is also scheduled to arrive only 40 minutes later.
“We applaud the untiring efforts of the Government and people of Dominica to rebuild their beautiful nature island after the ravages of Tropical Storm Erika. We are aware that this time of year is of utmost importance to our customers and so we are happy to assist in bringing visitors, friends and families together for the holidays,” stated David Evans, who was appointed as LIAT’s CEO in March 2014.
